A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF EQUIPMENT TO OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE VIA THE OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation operates the Office of Environmental Programs, which has eight (8) Coriolis Micro-Air Samplers in its inventory that have been deemed appropriate for continued use by the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine;

WHEREAS, the Oklahoma State University Foundation has the authority to receive donations on behalf of the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Office of Environmental Programs wishes to donate these items in an “as-is” condition;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation to donate the aforementioned Coriolis Micro-Air Samplers to the Oklahoma State University Foundation for ultimate use by the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
