A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF LAND IN TRUST - TIAWAH 8.84 ACRES
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation has acquired a tract of land located in Rogers County, Oklahoma, more particularly described as follows:
A tract of land in the NW4 of Section 36, Township 21 North, Range 16 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Rogers County, Oklahoma, more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 15, Block 2 (found ½” iron pin) of Meadowridge Estates, a Subdivision in Rogers County, Oklahoma, said point being the Southeast corner of subject property, thence N 00° 05’ 25” W along the West line of the S2 of Lot 15 a distance of 302.59 feet to an existing iron pin, thence N 00° 11’ 09” E along the West line of the N2 of Lot 15 a distance of 312.53 feet to an existing iron pin at the South right-of -way line of County Road and the Northwest corner of said Lot 15, thence S 57° 22’ 16” W along said South right-of-way line a distance of 76.52 feet to a point, thence S 81° 04’ 42” W along said South right-of-way line a distance of 647.38 feet to a point, thence N 81° 14’ 40” W along said South right-of-way line a distance of 23.57 feet to the Northwest corner of subject property, thence S 00° 01’ 10” E along an existing fence line a distance of 480.17 feet to an existing iron pin and the Southwest corner of subject property, thence N 89° 45’ 15” E along an existing fence line a distance of 726.59 feet to the Point of Beginning.
