Title
ACT RELATING TO ESTABLISHING A CHILDREN AND JUVENILE CODE FOR THE CHEROKEE NATION

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the attached code is the Cherokee Nation Children and Juvenile Code to be codified as Title 16-10 of the Cherokee Nation Code.
It being immediately necessary for the welfare of the Cherokee Nation, the Council hereby declares that an emergency exists, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
Enacted by the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council on the 13TH day of May, 1991.
