A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS TO DONATE (2) TELEDYNE GASEOUS ANALYZERS, SIX (6) R&P 2025 SEQUENTIAL AIR SAMPLERS, AND TWO (2) AEROCHEM METRICS COLLECTORS TO THE TRIBAL AIR MONITORING SUPPORT (TAMS) CENTER IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs has two Aerochem collectors which have been replaced by updated units and are no longer needed; two Teledyne gaseous analyzers which have also been replaced by updated equipment; and six R&P sequential air samplers which are no longer deployed in the field;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs has limited space to store unused equipment;
WHEREAS, the TAMS Center provides training and support services to Tribal air professionals to develop tribal capacity to assess, understand and prevent environmental impacts that adversely affect health, cultural, and natural resources;
WHEREAS, the TAMS Center has need of equipment to use for training purposes and/or to loan to tribes for environmental monitoring.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs to donate two Aerochem collectors (no serial numbers), six R&P 2025 sequential air samplers (serial numbers 20960, 21585, 21642, 21557, 21596 and 20999 and two Teledyne gaseous analyzers (serial numbers 123 and 124) to the TAMS Center.
