A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO CHEROKEE CEMETERIES RESTORATION ORGANIZATION

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation has the following equipment utilized for ground-penetrating radar surveys in its inventory that has been deemed appropriate for continued use by the Cherokee Cemeteries Restoration Organization; and,

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate these item(s) in “as-is” condition; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Cemeteries Restoration Organization, located and operating within the Cherokee Nation Reservation, operates on limited funding, and donating said items would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby authorizes the Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this surplus equipment to the Cherokee Cemeteries Restoration Organization as set out above.
