A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO THE WARPONY COMMUNITY OUTREACH, TAHLEQUAH, OK

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Support Services of the Financial Resources Department has a washer and dryer upright combo unit which is surplus to their needs and its donation to a worthy organization would be beneficial to the Cherokee Nation;

WHEREAS, the Warpony Community Outreach has been instrumental regarding the Tahlequah area community outreach activities and has expressed a desire for the need of the surplus equipment;

WHEREAS, the surplus equipment could enhance the efforts of the Warpony Community Outreach to the citizens of the Tahlequah, Oklahoma community area.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Bill John Baker, and/or his authorized designee(s) be authorized to donate an upright washer/dryer combo unit, serial number 16904898WY to the Warpony Community Outreach, Tahlequah, Oklahoma for continued community outreach services.
