A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM (NHS)
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation desires to donate the following items in each item’s current “as-is” condition:
Six (6) - Drager ventilator(s) (Assets: 113001, 113002, 113003, 113004, 113005, 113108); and,
WHEREAS, Northeastern Health System (NHS) is located and operates within the Cherokee Nation Reservation and provides local healthcare services, donating said item would benefit the organization greatly; and,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation authorizes the Cherokee Nation to donate these surplus items to Northeastern Health System (NHS) as set out above.
