A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO GORE PWA
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation desires to assist in providing a source of clean drinking water to our communities;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation has the following items currently located in Webbers Falls, OK, in its possession equipment that has been deemed surplus, namely:
 
1.      (1)-US Filter Microfloc Trident Package Water Treatment Plant. 350gpm TR-210A with appurtenances
WHEREAS, Gore PWA is a non-profit public works authority that provides water to serve the Town of Gore and surrounding area; and,
 
WHEREAS, Gore PWA desires to increase capacity to enable them to better serve the Cherokee citizens of their community.
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Engineering and Sanitation Facilities Construction Program to donate the surplus equipment to Gore PWA, namely:
 
 
1.      (1)-US Filter Microfloc Trident Package Water Treatment Plant. 350gpm TR-210A with appurtenances.
