A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO CLIENT FAMILIES

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Department of Children, Youth and Family Services has the following surplus used items: wooden computer hutch (72020) two arm chairs (08765 & 08764) a couch (inventory number illegible) Whirlpool dishwasher (no inventory number) 7 sets of twin size sheets, twin size comforter, small charcoal grill (no inventory numbers);
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Department of Children, Youth and Family Services has clients who can benefit from these items to improve their family situation;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Department of Children, Youth and Family Services strives to provide services to families to prevent the break-up of their families.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Cherokee Nation Department of Children, Youth and Families may donate the above listed surplus items to client families with whom they work.
