A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION TO LEASE TRUST LAND TO FACET, INC

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the lease for Facet, Inc., a Delaware Corporation (f/k/a Facet Quantek, Inc.,) will expire  August 6, 2009, therefore  Facet has requested to renew the lease located in  the Cherokee Nation Industrial Park, Adair County, Oklahoma, containing eleven acres more or less for twenty-five years with an option to renew for an additional twenty-five years.

      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council, in order to improve efficiency, authorizes a lease on this trust unit to Facet. Inc., and that Chad Smith, Principal Chief (or his designee) be authorized to negotiate and execute all official matters in this regard.
