A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF MIKE MC EVER AS A BOARD MEMBER OF CHEROKEE NATION ADMINISTATIVE APPEALS BOARD

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Administrative Appeals Board was created and authorized by Legislative Act 12-96 and 38-05; and
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief, as representative of the Cherokee Nation, is authorized to select the members of the Board of Directors subject to a majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and
WHEREAS, Mike McEver is duly qualified to fill this position as a Member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Administrative Appeals Board.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Mike McEver is hereby confirmed as a Member of the Administrative Appeals Board for a term beginning October 2007 and expiring on October 2011, as authorized by Legislative Act 12-96 and 38-05.
