A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO GORE POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, since time immemorial, has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people.
WHEREAS the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America.
The Cherokee Nation Marshal Service desires to donate these items in "as-is" condition.
Three (3) Armor Express Patrol Vests
WHEREAS the Gore Police Department, located within the Cherokee Nation's jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds, and donating said items would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the Tribal Council authorizes Cherokee Nation Marshal Service to donate these surplus items to Gore Police Department as set out above.
