A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION OF CHEROKEE NATION PROPERTY TO THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF COLLINSVILLE

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee People; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continuing government to government relationship with the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is owner in fee simple to property located in Tulsa County, more particularly described as:
Beginning at a point thirty (30) chains South and ten and 40/100 (10.40) chains East of the quarter section corner on the North boundary of Section 20, Township 22 North, Range 14 East; thence South six chains; thence East five chains; thence North six chains; thence West five chains to the point of beginning, lying in Section 20, Township 22 North, Range 14 East, of the Indian Base and Meridian, in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, containing 3 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the Cherokee People for said property to be annexed into the boundaries of the City of Collinsville; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the Council hereby consents to the annexation of the above-described property, owned by the Cherokee Nation located in Tulsa County, to the boundaries of the City of Collinsville.
