AN ACT AMENDING LEGISLATIVE ACT 8-97 AND CHEROKEE NATION CODE
TITLE 19, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 22, ENTITLED "REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAVEL
EXPENSES-GENERALLY"; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
CHEROKEE NATION CODE, TITLE 19, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 22 ENTITLED REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAVEL EXPENSES---GENERALLY, IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:
In addition to the compensation authorized by � 21 of this Title, any Council Member attending regular Council sessions, or official Cherokee Tribal meetings called by the Council, or Administration shall receive reimbursement for actual expenses for mileage. Proper receipts must be documented and submitted for reimbursement.
The effective date of such compensation shall commence on November 15, 1999, and continue thereafter for the duration of the term of elective office, unless amended.
Council members shall be subject to policies and procedures as adopted by the Tribal Council from time to time and shall not be subject to Human Resource Polices adopted by the Executive Branch of the Cherokee Nation.
