AN ACT AMENDING TITLE 13 SECTION 102 (a) and SECTIONS 304 (A)(b) and (c) OF THE CHEROKEE CODE ANNOTATED AND AMENDING LEGISLATIVE ACT 13-07 OF THE CHEROKEE NATION ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE ACT

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:
Section 1. Title and Codification
This Act may he cited as the "Cherokee Nation Administrative Procedure Amendments Act of 2012 " and codified as Title 13, Sections 102 and 304. of the Cherokee Code Annotated.
Section 2. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to enact minimum standard procedures for agencies of the Cherokee Nation and confer the force of law upon rules adopted by agencies.
Section 3. Legislative History
a) "The Council shall have the power to establish laws which it shall deem necessary and proper for the good of the Nation, which shall not be contrary to the provisions of this Constitution."

b) "The Principal Chief shall cause the laws of the Cherokee Nation to he faithfully executed, and shall conduct in person and in such manlier as shall he prescribed by law, all communications and business of the Cherokee Nation."
