A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF IMA JEAN MCCOLLUM AS A BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency was created and authorized as a Tribal Agency by Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation and Legislative Act #3-04;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized by Section 5.E. of LA#3-04 to select the members of the Board subject to confirmation by majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, a vacant seat on the board exists and Ima Jean McCollum has been selected to be nominated by the Principal Chief.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Ima Jean McCollum is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board Member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency for a term of (3) years from August 2008 until August 2011.
