A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DONATION OF UP TO SEVEN (7) FETAL MONITORS TO THE INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE CLAREMORE INDIAN HOSPITAL
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people and;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America and;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, under a Self-Governance agreement through the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act as amended, operates comprehensive health care and associated programs of the Indian Health Service and;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital has fetal monitors that are surplus to the needs of the Cherokee Nation Health System and;
 
WHEREAS, the Claremore Indian Hospital has need of these monitors to assist Cherokee citizens and other Native Peoples at that facility.
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the donation of up to seven (7) surplus fetal monitors to the Claremore Indian Hospital.
