A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF TWENTY-NINE SONY PLAYSTATION GAMING CONSOLES TO CHEROKEE COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Community Organization Training and Technical Assistance (COTTA) program retrieved twenty-nine (29) used Sony PlayStations from surplus, for the purpose of redistribution, by donation to Cherokee communities;

WHEREAS, the Sony PlayStation consoles are in good to excellent shape for donation to Cherokee Community Organizations within the fourteen county jurisdiction;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation COTTA program recognizes the need to be resourceful with our Nation's assets by making full use of said items by donation.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the donation of twenty-nine (29) Sony PlayStation gaming consoles to Cherokee Community Organizations within the fourteen county Cherokee Nation jurisdiction.
