A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF SUZANNE SULLIVAN AS A BOARD MEMBER OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TRUST AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Economic Development Trust Authority Board of Directors  was created and authorized by Legislative Act 36-89;

WHEREAS, the appointment of the Board of Directors in Legislative Act 36-89 was nullified by JAT 97-01;

WHEREAS, the appointment of the members of the Board, replacing that portion of #36-89 previously addressing the appointment of said board members, is provided for in Legislative Act 4-02;

WHEREAS, Seat Two (2) has expired and the Principal Chief is authorized to appoint the members of the Board subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Sullivan is duly qualified and should be reappointed as a Board Member of the Economic Development Trust Authority Board of Directors;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Suzanne Sullivan is hereby confirmed as a Board Member of the Economic Development Trust Authority Board of Directors, Seat Two (2) for the term April 30^th 2021, expiring April 30, 2012024, pursuant to the laws of the Cherokee Nation.
