Body
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:

Section 1. Title and Codification

This act shall be known as the technical amendments to the Rules of the Tribal Council and codified as Title 19 "COUNCIL" Chapter 1, Section 3 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated.

Section 2. Purpose

To amend and modernize the Rules of Procedure for the Tibal Council

A. When a vacancy occurs in any office of elected councilors and there is one (1) year or less remaining of the four-year term, the Tribal Council shall appoint, by a majority vote of the remaining councilors, a person to fill the vacancy until the next General Election.
