A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL DOUBLEHEAD AS A COMMISSIONER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION TAX COMMISSION
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission Board of Commissioners was established and authorized by Title 68, Chapter II , Section 11 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated; and,
WHEREAS, Seat one (1), provided under Title 68 CNCA § 12 Membership, of the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission Board of Commissioners is currently held by Michael Doublehead, with said term expiring; and
WHEREAS, Michael Doublehead is duly qualified to be reappointed to a term of two (2) years term, pursuant to the laws of the Cherokee Nation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby confirms the reappointment of Michael Doublehead as a commissioner of the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission, with a two-year term beginning November 2026 and ending November 30, 2028.
