A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF CERTAIN RADIO EQUIPMENT FROM THE CHEROKEE NATION EMS TO BELL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation EMS has some surplus equipment as a result of a purchase of new equipment and would like to donate the surplus equipment to the Bell Volunteer Fire Department which serves a large number of Cherokee Citizens and would benefit the department in their services to Cherokee Citizens in the Bell Community; and,
WHEREAS, the list of surplus property requested to be donated are the following items:
One Mobile Radio Bracket
One 6-way switch box
One Sho-me Siren
One Federal Signal Control Box
One Sho-me Warning Lights Mirror Mount
One Sho-me Slim Speaker (siren speaker grill mount)
And, therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby authorizes the donation of the following surplus equipment One Mobile Radio Bracket, One 6-way switch box, One Sho-me Siren, One Federal Signal Control Box, One Sho-me Warning Lights Mirror Mount, and One Sho-me Slim Speaker (siren speaker grill mount)
to the Bell Volunteer Fire Department.
