A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO THE TOWN OF OKAY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, since time immemorial, has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people.
WHEREAS the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America.
WHEREAS the Cherokee Nation desires to donate these items in “as-is” condition

WHEREAS the Town of Okay located within the Cherokee Nation's jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds, and donating said item would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the Tribal Council authorizes the Cherokee Nation to donate these surplus items to The Town of Okay as set out above.
