A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION CHILD CARE PROGRAM TO DONATE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO CHEROKEE NATION CONTRACTED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Child Care Programs has surplus used equipment;

WHEREAS, Child Care Providers who have current contracts with Cherokee Nation may be able to use the equipment for the benefit of children in their care;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Child Care Programs do not have the manpower to monitor or inventory surplus equipment, toys and/or furniture that is loaned and therefore wishes to identify appropriate items and distribute to eligible child care providers.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Cherokee Nation Child Care Programs wishes to identify appropriate items and disburse to eligible child care providers.
