A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS TO DONATE ONE (1) AEROVIRONMENT MINISODAR UPPER AIR PROFILER TO THE CONFEDERATED TRIBES OF THE UMATILLA INDIAN RESERVATION

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs has an AeroVironment miniSODAR upper air profiler which is no longer needed;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs has limited space to store unused equipment;
WHEREAS, the staff of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation has the expertise to operate and make use of the equipment;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council authorizes Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs to donate one AeroVironment miniSODAR unit (Serial #4000-1084) to the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
