A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION HEALTH SERVICES TO ASSUME MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISION AND OVERSIGHT OF CHEROKEE NATION HOME HEALTH AGENCY AND HOSPICE OF THE CHEROKEES
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,
 
WHEREAS, it is beneficial for the Cherokee Nation to advance the quality of life of its citizens and for all peoples of Oklahoma; and,
WHEREAS, the health and welfare of all citizens and assuring that the highest quality of medical services are made available are significant issues and concerns of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Home Health Agency and the Hospice of the Cherokees are important parts of medical care services to the citizens of the Cherokee Nation and therefore, to assure there is complete management, supervision and oversight of this division, Cherokee Nation Home Health Agency and the Hospice of the Cherokees shall be moved to be a part of the Cherokee Nation Health Services.
 
 
      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council hereby resolves that the Cherokee Nation Home Health Agency and the Hospice of the Cherokees shall become a division under the management, oversight and supervision of the Cherokee Nation Health Services.
