A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION TO LEASE TRIBAL TRUST LAND TO CC CAMP COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
 
WHEREAS, the CC Camp Community Organization has a one year Land Assignment on CMS 33 unit at the present time with a community building established, and wishes to lease the unit for twenty-five years beginning in 2013.  The tribal trust land unit is in Adair County, contains 6.4 acres, and will be leased for $1.00 a year;
 
WHEREAS, Real Estate Services requests that appraisal be waived and according to regulations contained in 25 CFR, the bond be waived by tribal resolution.
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Principal Chief, Bill John Baker, and/or his authority designee (s) be authorized to enter into the above described leasing, with appraisal and bond waived, in accordance with Bureau of Indian Affairs policy and procedure for the leasing of land owned by United States of America in Trust for Cherokee Nation.
