A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF LOU ANN COLLINS AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CHEROKEE NATION WASTE MANAGEMENT, LLC

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC is a Limited Liability Company created and authorized under the Cherokee Nation Limited Liability Company Act;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to appoint the members of the Commission subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and
WHEREAS, Lou Ann Collins is duly qualified and should be appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC, to fill this vacancy of Seat One (1) pursuant to the laws of the Cherokee Nation;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Lou Ann Collins is hereby confirmed as a member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC, and its successors, for a term from February, 2013, until February, 2016.
