BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:

Section 1. Title and Codification

Title 26 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated, Entitled "Elections" is hereby revised as entirety and is hereby enacted as follows:

ELECTIONS
CHAPTER 1
General Provisions

§ 1. Purpose

This Title is adopted for the purpose of conducting all Cherokee Nation elections, for Principal Chief, Deputy Principal Chief, Council, Constitutional amendments, initiatives and referenda of the Cherokee Nation.

§ 3. Authority.

This Title is enacted pursuant to Article IX, Section 1, of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation ruled effective by the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court on July 26, 2003.

§ 3-A. Definitions. For purposes of this Title, the following terms shall be defined as follows:

1. At-Large Registered Voter. “At-Large registered voter” means a person who is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, under the age of twenty-five (25) residing outside of the jurisdictional boundaries of the Cherokee Nation, who has not previously registered to vote, and fails to choose a single district upon the time of their first registration; and citizens age twenty-five (25) and older-residing outside of the boundaries not registered to vote at the time of the first election to fill At-Large Counci...
