A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ELECTION COMMISSION TO SECURE EXISTING ELECTION SERVICE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, a federally recognized Indian Nation with an historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States; and

WHEREAS, financial institutions require a resolution of the Legislative Body of the Cherokee Nation authorizing Carolyn Allen, Cherokee Nation Election Commissioner, along one member of the Cherokee Nation Election Commission Staff, to access the             existing Election Services safety deposit box in the name of the Election Commission.

WHEREAS, all contents found in the safety deposit box are to be reported to the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cherokee Nation Council authorizes any 3 of the following persons: Carolyn Allen, Shawna Calico, Connie Parnell, and Joseph McClure to access the existing Election Services safety deposit box in the name of the Election Commission at First State Bank, Tahlequah, Oklahoma
