Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and,

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is committed to providing various resources to communities where Cherokee Citizens live to enhance their lives and activities within their communities; and,

WHEREAS, there is a request for the Management Resources Department of the Cherokee Nation to donate three (3) surplus flagpoles for the Owen School House in Park Hill, Oklahoma in Cherokee County; and, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby approves that the Management Resources Department of the Cherokee Nation shall donate three (3) surplus flagpoles for the Owen School House in Park Hill, Oklahoma in Cherokee County.
