A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION MARSHAL SERVICE TO DONATE ONE (1) 1995 CROWN VICTORIA VEHICLE TO THE DELAWARE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service has a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria vehicle in its fleet that is no longer in service because the motor is damaged;
WHEREAS, this vehicle can be identified as one (1) 1995 Ford Crown Victoria VIN# 2FALP71W4SX176984;
WHEREAS, with the removal of all salvageable equipment, this vehicle in "as-is" condition would not be cost efficient to repair and would exceed the value of the vehicle;
WHEREAS, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office is a local law enforcement agency and is cross-deputized with the Nation to provide seamless law enforcement services to our citizens in Delaware County, Oklahoma.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council authorizes the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service to donate the surplus vehicle as set out above, which is located at the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service, to the Delaware County Sheriff.
