A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF BOBBY L. VAUGHN AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized as a Tribal Agency by Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation and Legislative Act 3-04;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized by Section 5. E. of LA-03-04 to select the members of the PACE Board subject to confirmation by majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, the initial term of office of Board Members is to be appointed;
WHEREAS, Bobby L. Vaughn is duly qualified to fill this seat and has been selected by the Principal Chief.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Bobby L. Vaughn is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board Member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) for a term of three (3) years, commencing March 2015 until March 2018.
