A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION MARSHAL SERVICE TO DONATE A SURPLUS VEHICLE TO JAY EMS IN DELAWARE COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, it is always beneficial for the Cherokee Nation to partner and support other emergency response agencies within the Nation’s jurisdiction for the benefit of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service has accrued surplus vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle is identified as a 2005 Dodge Durango, VIN# 1D4HB48D95F578262
WHEREAS, the donation of this vehicle to Emergency Response agencies within the Cherokee Nation identified as Jay EMS, would substantially support and enhance the effectiveness of the cross deputation relationship between the Cherokee Nation and that agency and for the benefit of our Cherokee Communities: and therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION; the Tribal Council hereby approves the donation of the above described surplus and authorizes the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service to donate the above item to Jay EMS located in Delaware County.
