A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF JANIE DIBBLE AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized as a Tribal Agency by Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation and Legislative Act 3-04; and,
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized by Section 5. E. of LA-03-04 to select the members of the PACE Board subject to confirmation by majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and,
WHEREAS, the initial term of office of Board Members is to be appointed; and,
WHEREAS, Janie Dibble is duly qualified to fill seat 1of the PACE Board and has been selected by the Principal Chief; and therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Janie Dibble is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board Member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE), seat 1, for a term of three (3) years, commencing November 2015 until November 2018.
