A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF JUNIOR DEWAYNE LITTLEJOHN AS A MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS BOARD
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Administrative Appeals Board was created and authorized by 51 CNCA § 1001 et seq. (2014) & amended by 40 CNCA § 702 (2014);
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to appoint members of the Board subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and
WHEREAS, there is a vacancy on the Administrative Appeals Board of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Junior Dewayne Littlejohn is hereby nominated for appointment as authorized 51 CNCA § 1001, et seq.;
WHEREAS, Junior Dewayne Littlejohn is duly qualified and should be appointed as a Member of the Administrative Appeals Board;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Junior Dewayne Littlejohn is hereby appointed as a Member of the Cherokee Nation Administrative Appeals Board, Seat #2, for the term of December 15, 2015 through December 14, 2019, as authorized by 14 CNCA § 1 et seq. & 51 CNCA § et seq.
