A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF DEBORAH PROCTOR AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION HOME HEALTH SERVICES, INCORPORATED
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc. was created and authorized as a Tribal Corporation by Article VI, Section 10 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation, Legislative Act 11-85 and Legislative Act 3-90. The Governing Board was created and authorized by Resolution 95-97 and by Title 18, Section 21 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated (CNCA);
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to select the members of the Board subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, the term of Office of one of the five (5) Board Members is now vacant; and
WHEREAS, Deborah Proctor is duly qualified to fill this vacancy pursuant to Article III, Section 3.01, of the Bylaws of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Deborah Proctor is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board Member of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc. as authorized by Article IX of the Articles of Incorporation of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.
