AN ACT AMENDING LA#10-91, RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE TRIBAL POLICY FOR THE PROMOTION AND PRESERVATION OF CHEROKEE LANGUAGE, HISTORY AND CULTURE; AMENDING A CERTAIN SECTION OF LA-10-91; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:
Subsection (B) of Section III of the Cherokee Nation Language and Cultural Preservation Act, Legislative Act 10-91, codified at Title 31, Section 3, of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated, is hereby amended to read as set forth below, provided that all other provisions of Section III shall remain unchanged, and in full force and effect.
Subsection (B) of Section III of Legislative Act 10-91 is hereby amended to read as follows:
(B) Establishment of a permanent Cherokee Language Program as a support unit for all programs and services within Cherokee Nation subject to such funding limitations as may exist from year to year.
Emergency declared.
It being immediately necessary for the welfare of the Cherokee Nation, the Council hereby declares that an emergency exists, by reason whereof this act amending L.A. #10-91, Section III, shall take effect and be in full force immediately after its passage and approval.
