Title
AN ACT AMENDING LEGISLATIVE ACT 19-99
COMPREHENSIVE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:
SECTION 1. Title And Codification.
This legislative act shall be titled and codified as "An Amendment to the Comprehensive Budget for Fiscal Year 2000."
SECTION 2. Purpose.
The purpose of this amendment is to authorize and approve the use of funds in accordance with Section 4, changing the amounts of certain cost centers originally approved in the Comprehensive Budget Act for Fiscal Year 2000 or subsequent amendment. The cumulative total of the budget is increased by $1,248,872 for a total Comprehensive Budget for Fiscal Year 2000 of $163,403,480
SECTION 3. Legislative History.
The provisions of compliance, policy of accountability, authorities and severability provided in Legislative Act 19-99 is applicable to this amendment.
SECTION 4. Funding Authorizations.
The changes reflect increases and decreases to cost centers set forth in the program budget justifications incorporated herein. The amendment changes the total amount of the budget authorization by $1,248,872 as reflected by the details contained below.
A. An increase to DHHS budget authority of $574,072 for Child Care from carryover funds and to increase budget authority for the Rocky Point project of $34,909.
B. An increase of EPA budget authority of $264,105 for funding various projects under the environmental program.
C. An increase to EPA budget authority $375,786 for various EPA sites.
SECTION 5. Availability of Funds.
The Budget Estimates for Fiscal Year 2000 as amended are approved subject to the availability of funds as projected and estimated. The justifications are incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 6. Effective Date: Emergency
