BE IT ENACTED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION:
 
Section 10-5-49. Handling of returned absentee
generally
 
Ballots must be marked, sealed in the inner envelope and mailed in the pre-addressed outer envelope so as to reach the Tribal Election Committee. Any properly voted ballot received at the Tribal Election Committee's post office box in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, prior to close of business on election day shall be valid. Upon receipt of the absentee ballot by the Tahlequah Post Office it shall be placed in the absentee bllot boxes designated and placed in the post office for said ballots. The ballot boxes shall be secured with three seals.
