A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF LAND IN TRUST - SAM HIDER HEALTH CENTER
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation acquired a property in Delaware County, Oklahoma and has now completed construction of the Sam Hider Health Center on the 20.45 acre tract. The property is on the north side of Jay, Oklahoma, lying between U.S. Highway #59 to the west and Cherokee Nation Trust property to the east housing the Cherokee Nation Food Distribution center. The Sam Hider Health Center property in Delaware County is further described as follows:
Indian Meridian, Oklahoma
Township 23 North, Range 24 East,
Section 31 A parcel of land situated in the Northeast Quarter, more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southwest corner of the NE1/4;
