A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF SANDRA HATHCOAT AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION HOME HEALTH SERVICES, INCORPORATED
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services Inc. was created and authorized as a tribal corporation by Article VI, Section 10 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation, Legislative Act 11-85 and Legislative Act 3-90. The Governing Board was created and authorized by Resolution 95-97 and by Title 18, Section 21 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to select the members of the board, subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, the Board Member currently serving in Seat Three (3) is resigning, leaving that seat vacant;
WHEREAS, Sandra Hathcoat is duly qualified to fill this vacancy pursuant to Article III, Section 3.01 of the bylaws of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Sandra Hathcoat is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board member of Cherokee Nation Home Health Services Board of Directors, as authorized by Article IX of the Articles of Incorporation of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.
