A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF SANDRA HATHCOAT AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized by Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation, and Legislative Act 03-04;

WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized by Section 5.E. of LA-03-04 to select the members of the board, subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;

WHEREAS, Seat Two (2) of the Board is currently vacant;

WHEREAS, Sandra Hathcoat is duly qualified to fill this vacancy and has been selected by the Principal Chief.;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Sandra Hathcoat is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency, for a term of three (3) years beginning June, 2016 and ending June, 2019.
