A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION MARSHAL SERVICE TO DONATE A SURPLUS VEHICLE TO MUSKOGEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IN MUSKOGEE COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service has the following equipment in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service desires to donate this equipment in “as- is” condition.
WHEREAS, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this vehicle would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Marshal Service to donate this surplus vehicle to the Muskogee county Sheriff’s Office in Muskogee County as set out above.
