A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION EDUCATION SERVICE TO DONATE EQUIPMENT TO THE BLUEJACKET PUBLIC SCHOOL IN CRAIG COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Education Service has the following equipment in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Education Services desires to donate this equipment in “as- is” condition.
WHEREAS, the Bluejacket Public School located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this vehicle would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Education Services to donate this equipment to the Bluejacket Public School in Craig County as set out above.
