A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 86-08 FOR LEASING TRUST LAND TO BELL DEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #33

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,

WHEREAS, the Full Council approved Resolution No. 86-08 on October 13, 2008 to the Bell Dependent School District for another twenty-five year lease with appraisal waived;

WHEREAS, the legal description on said Resolution shall be amended to read:

      S2NWSWSW; S2NESWSW; SESWSW  in Section 32, Township 15 North, Range 26       East, Adair County, Oklahoma, containing 20 acres more or less;

      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Chad Smith, Principal Chief (or his designee) be authorized to negotiate and execute all official matters in this regard.
