A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM TO DONATE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO THE UNITED WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT FOUNDATION IN CHEROKEE COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Department has the following equipment in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Department desires to donate this equipment in “as- is” condition.
WHEREAS, the United Wrestling Entertainment Foundation is located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this equipment would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Department to donate this equipment to the United Wrestling Entertainment Foundation in Cherokee County as set out above.
