A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF ELMER TADPOLE AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized by Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation, and Legislative Act 03-04;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized by Section 5.E. of LA-03-04 to select the members of the board, subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, current Board Member Elmer Tadpole’s term has expired; and
WHEREAS, Elmer Tadpole is duly qualified and has been selected by the Principal Chief to be reappointed;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Elmer Tadpole is hereby confirmed as a Governing Board Member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency, for a term of three (3) years beginning March, 2018 and ending March, 2021.
