A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE A SURLUSED MANUFACTURED HOUSE TO BILLY GENE SMOKE (MAYES COUNTY)

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation has the following manufactured housing located at the Saline Courthouse property in Delaware County, and has been deemed surplus:

 

                     1995 Belmont 16’ X 60’ Manufactured Home (MSB951660SN19791) SN:19791

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation desires to donate this equipment in “as-is” condition;

 

WHEREAS, Billy Gene Smoke is a Cherokee Nation citizen in need of immediate housing assistance;

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this surplus housing to Billy Gene Smoke as set out above.
