A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO MID COUNTY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION IN ADAIR COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse has the following equipment in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:
Item # 3425 Norlake Freezer
Item #3752 Stove
Item #3530 Stove
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate this equipment in “as- is” condition.
WHEREAS, the Mid County Community Organization located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this equipment would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this surplus equipment to Mid County Community Organization in Adair County as set out above.
